About

In general my research activities focus on the social history of the environment. In particular, I am interested in conflicts about rights to access resources and in the history of nature conservation. My present book project is just about transforming my diss on these topics into a book.

I was a postgraduate fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy and held a postdoctoral position, funded by the Autonomous Province of Trento, at the University of Trento, Italy.

My current work at RCC focusses on user involvement (user-generated content, sharing, mixing, feedback, blogging) in the new portal Environment and Society. Beside this I research on the history of nature conservation, management, and rhetoric in the Alps.

In the meantime I am planning future researches in fields out of my current specialisation: e.g. Italian colonisation of the Dodecanesus and Ethiopia, gypsy history, Ottoman studies.
